Need troubleshooting advice for noisy rear end

Noise is coming from my truck, not my

2000 PreRunner 2x4 auto 160K miles

When driving over 60 mph a consistent clicking noise generates from the rear of the truck. Speed up to 80+ mph it gets slightly louder but the rhythm of the clicking doesn't seem to speed up. Drop below 60 mph and you can't hear anything (but exhaust could be masking a quieter noise). No lack of power - right now it's just an annoying noise.

I rode in the bed while someone else drove and it sounds like it might be coming from the passenger-side rear wheel. Wheel bearing is my best ameteur guess. I changed the rear diff oil just to be sure and the old oil looked fine.

Can anyone suggest a troubleshooting technique to better identify the problem or verify the integrity of the wheel bearing? Is it time to replace rear bearings anyway? I'm trying to avoid having a mechanic replace the bearing only to find it doesn't fix it. Thanks in advance!! Oh yeah, I had a diff oil leak in the same rear wheel a few years back which I was able to fix by replacing the axle seal (not bearing). No issues until recently...
