My .02 cents on rear spring sag...
Ok, So as some know I bought my 96 with low miles and a slight rear sag.. Started looking at rear spring options and then someone pointed me toward the recall for the rear springs. I figured it was my best option, not on ly is it free, but factory springs that should level out the rear of my Runner and get rid of the sag since they are new.. Oh was I wrong....
Everyone has seen a Runner around your area with rear sag. I originally thought it was worn springs... But now I am really thinking that it is the recall springs that are what you are seeing on the road.
The measurement I took with the original springs in my garage was 34.75" from the floor to the fender lip edge. With the new springs and about 2 weeks of driving I am sitting at 34.25".. So I lost a 1/2" on top of a Runner I already thought was sagging...
One thing I can say is that the new springs are stiffer and dont bottom out anymore.. but disappointed about the sag..
