Question I need some help....please.

Ok so i have a 1999 Limited Toyota 4runner and its all stock right now...and i dont have enough money to get a 4th gen. 4runner like i want...so i kinda want to do something to mine for now...I know im gonna take off the running boards to make it look a little higher...but my real question is whats the best/cheapest lift for my runner?...whether it being spacers or a body lift. I dont do any off-roading in my runner cuz its a 2wd so this is basically for just looks...ill prolly put some 285's on it after the lift it has 265's right now. I would appreciate it if yall could give me some ideas. Thanks.

If you're really serious about buying a 4th gen I wouldn't do anything to it. Save your money. It'll probably sell better/have a higher trade in value if you keep it stock.

I personaly dont like body lifts, they serve no purpose besides to fit bigger wheels, but you might have trouble with your shifter

i would just save up for a suspension lift

Do what your dad says. He is smarter than you. When you reach his age you will realize that everything he told you now is correct. Just take off the running boards. It will look way better and that should keep you happy for a week or two.
