Can you get the hoodscoop from the factory when buying a tacoma?Or do you have to order it from the stealership later?

I bet they are a dealer only item but you should be able to get it as an option.

Are you talking about the new Tacoma?? Because they don't make a scooped hood for the old Tacoma. I think the new can be special ordered with one.

I was assuming he meant new since I know the previous gen Tacoma guys have been shunned from the scooped hoods by Toyota.

This is one of my customers. He took a 4Runner hood and said it fit on his tacoma.

I wonder why this Runner/Tacoma hood compatibilty hasn't come up before or has it. I'd think there's quite a few Tacoma owners that are closet "scoop" coveting individuals that would jump all over them if their a direct fit.

you'd have to change more than just the hood, you'd need the grill, and headlights, if not more-

I thought the headlights looked like they had to be swapped too;I guess it can be done but it'll cost.
