Help!! Spark Plug Wire Problem
Ok, So I went to change the plugs and wires last night an don't ask me how but I mixed up the wire order. (I know..change one at a time, but I got distracted and anyway...)I have the NGK OEM plug wires and they are numbered on the small boot side of the wire (ignition pack side) 1-3-5 but not on on the other. I know the cylinder order, so I thought 1 goes to 2 3-4 5-6 right? Anyway the truck wont to turn over and make all kinds of jerking noise. I have to go to work tomorrow and I am screwed. Is there anything else it could be?

it you have yer old wires you can lay them out and they will want to lay in the direction they were installed, giving you a roadmap of where your new ones should go. or look in a manual

Im sorry but I think it is a bit funny you got 3 wires mixed up. Better stay away from a v8 ha ha jk. On my 3.4 you could tell which wire went where by the length.

Ok, what's confusing is the numbers on the wires are indicating coil cylinder locations..Not wire locations...
This is the order:
#1 goes to #4
#3 goes to #6
#5 goes to #2
#1 coil,(passenger side front coil)....wire goes to driver side middle cylinder
#3 coil,(passenger side middle coil)...wire goes to driver's side rear cylinder
#5 coil,(passenger side rear coil)... wire goes to driver's side front cylinder
This is the order:
#1 goes to #4
#3 goes to #6
#5 goes to #2
#1 coil,(passenger side front coil)....wire goes to driver side middle cylinder
#3 coil,(passenger side middle coil)...wire goes to driver's side rear cylinder
#5 coil,(passenger side rear coil)... wire goes to driver's side front cylinder
