Thats pretty much it...if there is water in the cylinders in any quantifiable amount, turning it over with the plugs out will do it, the pistons will move like normal, but instead of compresison, you'll just shove all the water/air/gas whatever is in there, out the spark plug holes. Then you can put the plugs back in when all the water is out, or if none comes out, and give it another shot, if it still wont crank, then the problem may very well be a clogged/full muffler or cat and top much backpressure to crank, at which point...well, we'll cross that when we get to it... Keep us updated...

Don't say anything about this to people around there. Maybe someone will mess up and ask you about it (guilty party maybe) Look around while you're working on trk if you see someone grinning....

Like others have said, that was not a prank.

I would kick butt if I caught someone doing that to my rig.
They would go out on a gurney.

I hope you find the low lifes that did this.
They have no backbone.

Prank

The Water Shouldn't Of Made It Up To Do Anything. Drain What You Can Then Start It.

I wouldn't want my pistons reciprocating at all with any amount of water in the cylinder, even if the plugs are out and you're trying to force it out the plug holes. If you're positive you have water in the cylinders (which, like hosh, I can't imagine, given the laws of physics, gravity, and lack of water pressure without a seal around the hose at the end of the tail pipe), then get a hand pump, pull your plugs, carefully insert the pump's guzinta hose into the chamber, and pump as much water as possible out of each cylinder before turning the engine over.

Just change the oil! It's certainly a good thing you got fresh Mobil 1 in it.

How do the plugs look? if they got moisture on them they could rust probably....
Might need some new ones.

while your at it take a double check of your gas tank make sure they did not pour something it also you could theoreticaly get the water up there if you sat there and sealed it with your hand and than ran off....turn the motor over by hand to get as much water out as possible

Then go to autozone or oreilies and get some magic mystery oil (its in a red container and its cheap) Pour a little into each cyl. and let sit for an hour or two than turn the motor over again...

That will help if there was acutally water up there than do an oil change...

You mentioned that the starter sounded like it was spinning but not turning over the motor??

Wow, that's F-ed up. If that happened to me and I found out who did it, nobody would ever find the body.

Can you remove your muffler? If so, drain it. If not, it might be worth drilling a hole in the bottom for drainage. Have the hole welded shut, of course.

Your exhaust is plugged with water.
Your plugs are coated in gas and I bet the engine is flooded.

There's almost no way in hell that water reached your engine.

Lame. Best of luck, man.
Maybe the guy was trying to water his lawn and had mistaken your truck for the spray nozzle attachment?

Thats what I would say, drill a 3/16" hole into the muffler and cats and see if any water comes out. Then get them patched at a local machine shop later..
