Man there's alot of door panels in this thread. I think them panels would get the crap kicked out of em. I have a hard time not hitting the ones I have with my work boots on. Also they would play hell with Huskies!

Here's mine:

I made a new door panel out of 1/4 plywood, put all the hardware back on and covered it with upholstery fabric (used the old panel as a template). I lined the rear of the panel with headliner material to reduce vibrations and noise.

The speaker pods are made out of mdf and fiberglass and covered in vinyl. I angled the speaker pods up and in for imaging. It sounds so so so much better than those stock 4" pods. The pods are bolted thru the new panel and the metal skin of the door.

Yeah the 3rd gen has the speakers where they belong. I don't usually do any mods on my 2000 simply because it's nicer and I don't really offroad or listen to heavy music in it much. My 2nd gen is a ton more fun to mod because it's "rough" and can take the hits offroad, so I generally spend my money on it.

About the kick panels, I've decided that the Q-Forms will come to far in and impede me from using the clutch. So I am left to come up with some sort of fabrication like Corey's. We'll see what happens.
