Help Finding the ABS Diagnostic Pins...
Hello Everyone,
I have an ABS light that keeps coming on and off on my Tacoma. I have checked the factory manual for the 2003 online and looked online at multiple forums but I am having trouble finding the diagnostic pins on the OBD connector to jump so that I can read the blinking ABS code. I have taken a picture of the connector and there is only four-pins. My previous research indicates:
Pin 4 - Chassis Ground
Pin 5 - Signal Ground
Pin 7 - ISO-9141-KLINE
Pin 16 - Battery (+)
Pin 1 starts on the lower row on the right side of the rounded corner and Pin 16 is on the top row left side with the squarish corner.
I have tried connecting Pins 4,5,16 to Pin 7 sepearatley and turning on the ignition to try to make the ABS light blink but to no avail. Do I use the OBD connector or do I use something else. I cant figure this out, please advise and thank you in advance.
Here is a Picture of my Vin and OBD Connector. The Truck is a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD w/ Automatic Transmission, California model:
