Smile Grille Guard installation, missing a set of pieces.

i bought a grille guard off craigslist for 50 bucks, very very cheap IMO, but they guy couldnt take off 2 mounting parts off his truck, and i did not have the pieces on my truck. the pieces are underneath the truck, it is the "L shaped" mounting brackets for the grille guard. he had them on his truck and it was STUCK SOLID, how in the world o people get these things off? the brackets go between the chassis and a tow hook. we tried for a good 30 minutes taking it off but it wouldnt even move. but if not where can i pick some up? junkyard? how much are they? he gave me all the bolts and stuff..its just those 2 L shaped brackets i need

Those pieces typically come w/ the grill guard, and are specific to the model. See if you can contact the manufacturer for replacements. Or if you have the dimensions of the pieces, fabricate your own.

A good overnight soak in PB Blaster might help to get the brackets off.

When I bought a grill guard off of ebay, I had the same thing happen to me. I just looked up a welder in the next town I drove through, and he made me a few L brackets, and welded the thing together for 50 bucks or so.

Good luck
