Pull the radiator cap and take a look at the coolant -- it shouldn't be milky at all. If it is, suspect a head gasket problem. Get underneath and look for obvious signs of corrosion...shouldn't be too bad in North Cali, but it's always good to be safe. I'd check for oil leaks around the front and rear main seals and around the valve cover gaskets as well.
If all of these things check out and it runs without any knocks or pings you're probably getting a pretty good deal!

Look at the hoses, make sure they're not cracked or old. Look at the wiring in the engine bay, make sure it looks stock or close to it. When you drive it, pay attention to how it drives (no drifting, slop in the steering, excessive wobbles, etc.).
You might want to get the VIN and get a CarFax for it, just to be sure.
I would imagine if it is in as good condition as claimed, it should be a good deal.

you are gonna love that one.
Looks very nice. Rear axle seals are a common third gen problem but they likely would have shown up by that mileage. Mine is that same white paint scheme-I went with All Pro OffRoad sliders and they were affordable, had them powdercoated and then welded on. All for less than many places charge for just the sliders.
A bunch of us 3rd gen owners hang out also on T4R.org and a fairly recent mod I am turning folks onto is the hood lift at Redline Tuning or Burtman Industries.
Good buy.
