First 3rd gen 4runner/first post in this section

Hey all, I usually am over in the 2nd gen 4runner section but I felt it was time to update my vehicle, especially while my 2nd gen is still worth something. I managed to find a 2000 4runner with a manual transmission. The even more amazing thing is I live on Vancouver Island, BC where theres always a hungry pack of yota fanatics constantly prowling the ads, and unfortunately these things get absolutely rat-bagged by young guys around here. I've always wanted a 3rd gen runner as I think they are the best looking, while they still remained small with a short wheelbase, but have more power and better mileage and are less prone to rust. Finding a manual was just such a bonus. Anyway, its nothing special, but its exactly what I wanted. Excited to share some stories and experiences with you all (hopefully more often in a positive way than negative!) and I'm seriously inspired by a lot of the rigs I see on here!

Nice find! I see you have the requisite bumper dent. If your ball joints have more than 150,000 that's one for the to-do list. Have lots of fun, I'm kinda partial to 3rd gens 3.4 w/manual too.

Haha thanks! Yes it has the bumper dent as well as the classic squeaky clutch pedal. It was a gem to find, I have been looking all over Washington and BC trying to find one and this one just appeared in front of me in my home town.

Ah squeaky clutch pedal, where would we be without you to tell us when we're shifting? You going to do the #70 or brake spring then, or leave it for the ambiance?

Engine bay so clean, it makes me want to do my own. I'll get over it, but boy, that sure is pretty.

Great looking runner. My third gen had the bumper dent right in the center. Didnt realize that was a common issue on these, lol. It is easily changed out if you want to fix it. Being a 5 speed and how great that engine bay looks, you got a great runner.

Wow. Looks great!

I believe the bumper dent was a factory option... got one too.
