Finally did it.. ARB Bumper Install Complete

At last.. after waiting a couple days after it arrived at my house I decided I didn't want to wait any longer for my friends with shops to help put it on. That and I recently discovered my father owns a nice sawzall So between the constant back and forth with my good for nothing oh so helpful buddies getting in the way wondering what's going on haha and a break for dinner (mmm, chinese!) it took me little over 3 hours. Which reminds me, the chinese dude that delivered the food asked what the hell I was doing and he gave me a thumbs up on the new bumper. Kinda made me laugh.. ANYWAYS, time includes the cutting, grinding, all the lining up, light wiring, and lower skid extension. Started around 6 ended somewhere after 9. I'm kinda anal when it comes to my own vehicle, I like things to be perfect. It was definitely a learning experience and so far the first extensive cutting and fabrication I've done. Next project will be the sliders I'm having built. I only have a couple crappy cell phone pic for now cus it was dark when I finished and my camera battery died before it was all said and done, go figure. I'll take more pics tomorrow morning and update.. Here ya go

NEW PICS UP!

Gap between body and bumper

Lining with the Limited Fenders

PS.. The oem fog lights are for sell as well as the dented bumper. Clear bumper lights are pending sell.

no body lift.. it's just how it happened to line up which I'm happier with the outcome cus it leaves more room for body flex. I will however have to do something when I actually get a body lift cus putting another inch on that gap would be too much.

the size I have on there now are 265/70R16 and they have lasted roughly 18-20k miles so far. Another 10k and they will be bald so I will probably be looking for new tires in about 5-6k miles. The good thing about the tires is they have amazing depth on the lugs when they are new, do good in rain, great looking sidewall, and self-clean pretty good offroad.. The bad thing is I believe they had a recall on them and I thought they discontinued them. The recall was on the sidewall's cus they would split on the checks. I guess I got a lucky set cus mine are fine but one of my tires doesn't like road trips cus it will go flat. I think I got them around $500 mounted and balanced new. They hum really really loud too haha. They are sweet tires but I'd look into the recall thing a little more.

hmm..very interesting about the recall..i've been seeing A LOT of them on trucks around here...and i know they're cheap lol.

it's between the Federal 285/75's and some treadwright (MTR look alike) in the same size lol

thanks for the insight dude!!! have you kept up on the balance and rotation really good?

of course 30K miles out of a set of M/T's is pretty good lol

Oh and keep your clear corners and just get the clear ARB lenses.

haha, I know right!? It looks funny but I promise it is just cus of the angle. Same ol' design as always. I plan on getting some clear lenses when I can afford them cus right now I'm saving for sliders (locally built) and a winch before TTORA Takeover which is on the 9th-11th next month.

Btw, those wheels might be for sale soon

That ARB looks really sharp except its missing a winch (hint hint). If you do put in a winch don't forget to do the end cap frame mod.

Haha, thanks! I'm in the middle of deciding on a winch (see link in sig) and yes, I will reinforce the end cap when I add one.

haha, this would be my parents neighborhood... straight up rich people all around lol. My parents are by no means rich they just know how to save and spend money wisely. I would say they are above average at least and no don't call me spoiled. Yes my dad bought the bumper but it's his own damn fault he backed into me in the first place! I told him I need to start parking the other way around now
