I feel ya on that one, my last two trips have left quite a few pinstripes on the flares and on the black sections between the front and rear windows.

Oh well only the first couple of scratches hurt, they got easier to endure.

Flares Poll

I was considering the same thing. I don't know which generation you have, but performance products doesn't make a matte finish flare anymore (just tried to order), only glossy. Don't know about Bushwacker. Just so you know, if you have a 3rd generation, both PP and Bushwacker need to be trimmed to fit into the mudflaps.

I'm looking at getting a set of flares to replace my black SR5 flares. With my 285's, I'm sticking out quite a bit. Do the limited flares come in a glossy black, essentially unpainted, from the factory? I like the squared off look, and would probably just leave them black to match my TJM, rock crawlers, and sliders...

My brother had those exact same flares on his 95. That's weird because the guy he bought the truck from said he made them from scratch. Anyway, he took them off because they didn't look right with the body style.

On that truck, though, they look better since the fenders already flare out more than the 2nd gen trucks do.

The bushies are ok.. But if you are going to get into any heavy wheeling they are going to fall apart.. The rear bumper is a very weak point.. The overhang and low slung bumper makes for a lot of hits on the back half of the rear flare.. (I gave up fixing mine and now have alloy plates rivited to them to hold them togather ) They fit good and look nice, they are just a little fragile.. I have broken about 4 rear flares now.. Soon I plan on making a new rear bumper and at that time I will cut them back to mate only to the bottom of the quarter and not the bumper.
