Okay, so rather me just buying new cv axles. I'm just going to replace the boots for i dont feel its necessary to change the entire axles out. Went to the stealership today and picked up 2 boot replacement kits. They have 2 different grease tubes in each. One being brown and the other being white. My question is, Which grease goes where????

Ehh just realized what you said tho. I have a white and brown grease. they are both for the inner boot???? im gonna have to go with a guess that the brown is on the outside and white on the inside?

Yeah... the darker's on the outside, the lighter's on the inside.

I know you search Dood, this one was a bit of a pain to find. If I didn't know you searched, believe me, you woulda' gotten the Spinning Search Text of Death!

Good luck w/ the DIY. did it once and will never try it again, just too messy and time consuming. looks easy but its not.

The outer joint grease is pretty dark. Mine was a dark grey/black. When you say brown, are you talking light brown, chocolate brown, or almost black brown. I just ask because it's possible that the wrong grease was put into your kit by mistake.
