Ever wondered why there's only a block drain on 1 side? If you really want to get all the old coolant out and don't have a flush pump, you need to remove the thermostat. The thermo doubles as the drain for the other side. I wouldn't go back and do it now though - it's not a big deal.
Even that's way too pricey... with no job behind me, and well.. as such no income, every little dollar counts.. I just bought some prestone unmixed ( no point in paying for water... I have that at home ) and used a Hawaiian Punch gallon jug to go half and half with.

Question: Ideas on what to do with drained coolant?

I hope they didn't stop doing that. It's been a while since I went there, but I used to bring them all my old oil. Now I dump my stuff at work.

You got a pic of the drain plug in the block for the 5VZ-FE? I couldn't find it.

I kinda think its worth it to use distilled water. Here in az there is a ton of crap in the tap water. If you let a pot boild down there will be a lot of white crusties. I had a roommate that owned a distiller and it would build up tons of calcium and would be rock hard. Iwouldnt want that in my cooling system.
