Actuually I use NO TOUCH and let it sit for about 15 minutes and wipe it down. Leaves a nice black tire without shine and it washes off with soap so you don't get that brownish looking buildup.

Jason B...........i use that on my wifes Lexus and I agree it looks great. Just messing with you...........

why in the hell would any of you use normal AA on tires??? get black magic tire shine. ive been using it for a while, ive had 3 sets of tires (due to wear) and it has never cracked or made brown...AA protectant is what you should use on your interior (keeps out U.V rays)

Shiny tires on a wheeler?

Best way to keep the dash nice is a dash mat.
Mine had one on its whole life, but would slide everywhere when i would take turns or what not, because there was no Velcro. No problem, i put some on myself.

Then winter came and it was blocking my defroster from doing its job so i took the dash mat off, and the velcro in one spot took a pice of dash with it a lttle bigger than a quarter.

ANyways, i use the turtle wax interior cleaner, i like it, i feel it does a good job and doesn't leave a residue afterward.

AA is garbage. It contains alcohol which will dry out most anything if you put it on it enough. I use Black Magic Foam on my tires, and Meguiars on my dashboard.

Actually it is a good idea to use a high quality tire dressing even on off road rigs.
I use to use the Meguiars stuff, and it works good.
Yeah, pretty shiny, but not like AA.

As of the past year or more though since I got my new meats, I do not use any.
I just use the tire foam spray stuff to add some UV protection to the tires after scrubbing them down with Ajax.

Why do I use some form of protection?
When you pay $250 a pop for tires you want them to last a long time.
Keeping out the harmful UV rays makes the sidewalls last longer than if you did not use anything.

I have noticed though these new Dick Cepek tires remain black, they never look brown or dingy.
Last time I washed them too was in September.
With all the snow/ice we had and the gunk on the road, they look deep black still.

But AA is the worst stuff ever to put on your tires or use in your interior.

I use black shoe polish on my tyre sidewalls, just apply it the same way as you would to your shoes or boots, let it dry then buff to a satin shine.
It lasts for a long time too and dust doesn't stick to it like some silicone based tyre dressing products out there.
