I think i have read posts or embedded posts about this but could not find them when i searched...does anyone know if downey or anyone is coming out with or has come out with headers for the 4.7L V8?

Downey is very busy on many R&D parts for any vehicles that they are still in the midst of developing the v8 headers for the 4th 4runners. When they do go ahead and complete the project, I'll let everyone know

I'm just hoping that they'll finish the full suspension within the next few days...

Downey's current project on the 4th gens:
Full Suspension (coilover front and rear shock/coil - using Bilstein shocks)
v8 Intake system (since the intake plenum is abit different from the tundra sysem).

Both of these projects should be completed very soon and when it is available, I will take pictures for all of ya !

As for other manufacturers on the header department, your guess is good as mine.

JBA makes headers that fit the Sequoia and Tundra V8's. They are shorty, manifold replacement headers. Here's some pics:





Since the same part fits both the Tundra and Sequoia, you might want to inquire about your truck since it has basically the same engine. Maybe they'll fit. It looks like they also have a Y-Pipe replacement kit...

Actually the exhaust manifold is the same (because of the use of the same block) but the tubing is abit different. The Tundra flares the opposite way that the 4runner does (has been verified) and thus requires a new exhaust. Also, the cat has to be moved back 1.5" too so it'll be a pain to get this one on the shelves...
