Any Ideas?

I have a concern about my '98 4Skin.

I am hopeing it's just one problem, but the symptoms are:
When shifting into reverse, the truck jerks lightly.
After coming to an abrupt stop, when letting off the brakes to go again there is a hard jerk.
Feels like drive train is coming apart. Makes me afraid to drive it.
I love my Truck. It has almost 100K on it. i owe over 14000 (long story) so selling is not an option. I just want to fix it before it gets worse.

Any ideas on where I should look.
Please and thank you.

I think your Slip yoke is binding. Grease chassis fittings, especially on drive shaft, it should be much better. This is common with 4runners. I greased mine it's much better.

Thanks very much. The slip yoke will be greased tomorrow first thing. I really hope that's what it is.

where are the grease points on 4runners and tacos, is there a specific type of grease that needs to be used? i think we need a article or something illustrating all the grease points
