Unhappy Another One Bites the Dust??

I recently made a thread saying my truck won't start. The thread
was titled "No Vroom Vroom" well today my brother in law found
why it wasn't starting. He took the timing chain cover off and
found the chain sitting at the bottom like a snake. But don't
really know the extent of the damage right now.
My brother in law believes someone didn't tighten the tensioner
or whatever and the vibrations from driving finally shook the
the chain loose. I didn't break the chain or anything. But I'm
sure damage is done cause the valves were open hitting the
the pistons and creating a mess. Well I don't know what to
do. I can't really make a clear decision until I really know the
extent of the damage. If it's engine is bad off I may just
replace it but it sucks cause it's nice having the stock turbo
engine.
So anyone have any suggestions?
What I should look at on the engine?

you can probably get away with replacing the valves that got bent and be fine as long as the pistons were not damaged, i bet that your drivers side guide is with the chain in the pan also, the tensioner is oil pressure activated, there is no manual adjustment

Actually the driver side guide wasn't down in the pan. I'm thinking it was a deffective tensioner. It looks as though the fuel injectors are different on it. I believe I'm gonna replace the injectors, valves, get the head worked on, and a new camshaft. Anyone
prefer any place or parts for this project?
