4cyl power handling question

4cyl power handling question
I think it's time for me to sell my pickup but was wondering how the power handling of the four cylinders are. I'm used to the 3.0 coming from my 92' and use it to haul my moto around as well move some other heavy objects. I was looking at getting a newer Tacoma and was leaning towards the V6 engine but started to think that maybe the newer four banger has just as much power as the old V6. Therefore I wouldn't have the need for the V6.
What do you guys think?

thats what gears are for! seriously, i have never been shut down for lack of power. the I4s can handle hauling your bike or whatever, just realize that you might not be passing briskly on the freeway. around town without a load, there is nothing wrong with the I4s at all IMO.
that is not to say that i have never wished i had more raw power. just that its always been sufficient for me. the I4s are more economical, and maybe less egonomical. if you haul heavy loads all the time, then i would consider more cylinders. hope that helps.

I have a 3.4, I came from a 370 hp Mustang and for a little while I thought I was going to need therapy, I still wish I had more power when going up to the mountains and driving over 70 on the highway. I drove the FJ with the 4.0 and 6 speed and I loved how much more torque the new engines make at lower rpm.
