2 inch front lift (4th gen)?

Hey guys--new member here. Great forum.

I just got an 04 runner and I have no experience with body lifts whatsoever. I'm considering lifting the front of my truck 2 inches in order to give it more of a level look. Has anybody tried this? How much $$ am I looking at spending?

Also, seeing as I have no experience, I'm probably going to take it in and get the lift done professionally. After doing some searching on this forum (and t4r.org), it looks like I should stay far away from 4Wheel Parts. Does anybody know of a reputable chain to recommed for this type of work?

Thanks a lot for any help guys.

Do you have an SR5/Ltd or Sport? It's a little more tricky if you have an SE. You can get either the Daystar (2.5") or Revtek (3") suspension spacer kit. The Revtek seems to be the more popular choice here but it also cost more than the Daystar's.

a body lift will lift both the front and rear (entire body).

sounds like you want a suspension lift...

currently there are no body lifts available. it's in the works and expect to see them available hopefully by the end of september.

what you want is a suspension lift instead of the body lift. like what rallerunner has said, you can do the daystar lift or the revtek lift as they are currently available (any online store should have em - cheaper the better as some places are $$ compared to others). The good thing is that you can just lift the front to give a level appearance as Biff has done to his 4runner. He has the Daystar lift and only used the components for the front and it looks pretty cool. That might the best way for ya. If you want, PM him for some photos so you can see what it looks like.

Installation on a non xreas system will be easier than one with xreas. both can be done safely by a professional ofcourse. If you are a hands on guy, you'll be able to do it yourself with some supervision (always helps to have ppl there to help ya out just incase).

Good luck

Thanks a lot for the help guys. Sorry I didn't mention it, but my Runner is an SR5 with no XREAS.

Sounds like I should look around on the web some. Anyone know of a reliable site that will sell a Daystar front only kit?

Who is coming out with the a body lift? Would this be an easier lift for those with Xreas, or not? Just wondering how this would work???

the body lift is somewhat easier but the suspension lift is preferred. I'd say just go ahead w/ the daystar lift and call it a day
