03 Wet Okoles

I just ordered a set front & back. 7-10 days with free install. I had some on my old truck and they were really worth it. I highly recommend this type of protection-doesn't have to be this pricey (there are cheaper alternatives that fit looser)

The middle sections are not as light as in the picture. they sent me swatches and the middle "charcoal #11" is actually a very close match to the charcoal fabric of my 4Runner sport.

Yeah, I NEED those covers! They saved my other suv interior big time. UV, dirt, sweat, sodas, food... when I took them off, the seats looked brand new.

I can't make Pismo- bit too far. The other trip would have been more do-able. I definitely want to go to Pismo (will still try) but it'll take more juggling.

Sweet! Free install? Is there a shop around you or did you order through the net? How hard are these things to install yourself?

Corey has a tech write up where he removed the front seats (4 bolts).
I ordered over the phone- the website is kinda confusing to order from.

They said sometimes they have to remove the rear seats and I said, "remove the seats?" She checked and said they wouldn't have to on the 03.

Yeah free install at their HQ in OC. 7-10 days and about 40 min to install. I'll do some riding on the trails down there and let them tug and pull on the covers instead of me!

I was planning on doing it myself, it's basically just pulling and tugging covers on and tightening straps. You can do it!

Those look sweet, I've always liked the Wet Okole's.
In fact, I have installed my 3rd gen Covers (front) into my 4th Gen. Not an perfect fit, but really close, I would say better than most other covers. It does cover fully with no extra material, so they appear is if they were made for that model.

I installed them myself and have had them off at least six times or so to wash them. Use a scrub brush and their shampoo they offer, put them on a hanger and 24 hrs later you're done, ready to go back on. 30 min install max.

If you could, could you tell me what you paid for the rear seat covers and what part number you ordered. Meaning "Did you have to specify Charcoal and Black, without the piping"?

That is the exact pattern I have on my front and would prefer to keep it that way. I'm not a huge fan of the "piping" they offer now.

Thanks,

Doug

By the way: I didn't have to remove my seats on my 2002.

The piping is the "euro" option that costs $30 extra for half piping and $40 extra for full piping. You have to specify if you want the piping- it's not standard.

I ordered over the phone. The website is too confusing to order from.
The rear set is around $220.

I ordered the custom covers for the 03 4runner, charcoal #11 inside/black outside, front & back.
Front covers photo ref # 0380-11 03 4Runner
Back covers photo ref # 0381-11 03 4Runner

They are expensive but worth it. I feel totally care-free with them on my other suv. No worries, no damage, no stress and brand new seats in 10 years. That is worth alot more money than the wet okoles cost!

my friend has that same color in his 02 sport and it looks really good. im opting for all black with yellow stiching and piping, plus custom door panels the same way (my mom knows a lady in that field)

Thanks FirstToy,

That is exactly what I was looking for.

I agree, I take my dog everywhere with me, after swimming in the swamp, running through mud, the beach....and whatever it may be. I have no problem climbing right in with out cleaning off first.

Oh, I also have a 14 year old softball playing daughter. SW Fla = Rain + Clay = Mud (big time). No problems with removing the stains in any way.

Cheers,

Doug

Since they are neoprene, aren't they extra hot to make you sweat more in the summer?

No, they are not bare neoprene. They have a fabric-like skin. I dont know how to describe it but maybe someone else can better than I.

They never get really hot and keep much more "neutral" temps than leather, for example.

My experience has been that they are very comfortable.
