Tonkatruck's 1991 Pickup Build-Up Thread

I am 16 years old and this is my first truck it is a 1991 pickup extra-cab 5 speed. Bought early June of 2011 for $4,500 off of Craigslist.
-Previous owner had it repainted
-only has 85,000 ORIGINAL miles on the stock motor
-31" all terrain tires mounted on American Racing wheels
-Interior is spotless besides the minor rips in the bench

Things I have done...
-Replaced both lover control arms and whole axle to lock outs. Found a guy craigslist who had done a straight axle swap and had EVERYTHING i needed for 100$
-Also from the same guy i bought a new front bumper with no rust and a front brush guard. Both are currently getting painted gloss black plus the back bumber.
-Replaced the e-brake. old one froze up and the wires snapped from the rust.
-opened up the back drums and anti-seized everything and installed new e-brake kit(found from the same guy from craigslist)
-installed new Pioneer stereo
-Had my dads friend print out some TRD off-road stickers
-Bought Grizzly grip to put in the bed and when i pulled the bed liner out for the first time i found a supprise...rust holes in 4 diffrent places...grizzly grip was put on a hold until this weekend. Me and my dad are going to cut the old rust spots out of the bed and weld in replacement sheet metal.
-waiting to recieve my HIDs i ordered

What else im planning on doing...when the money tree blooms again...
-3" lift kit
-33" tires mounted on diffrent gloss black rims
-subwoofer and amp
-tint windows
-new foot rails
-replace bench with bucket seats
-roll bar
-scrape off all rust flakes underneath and spray rust proof spray paint for temporary protection
-toyota sticker on back tail gate. WHAT COLOR???

i had a near indentical truck when i was 18. and with the v6 and the head gasket issues they have, i was lucky i never had anything go wrong with mine. just parking brake cable thats a pain to do inside.

Truck looks nice, any big plans?

Im unsure of the size of the rims. i can check when i get back home. bed is all patched up. my dad welded some new sheet metal over the rust spots. i LOVE the grizzly grip it is really easy to apply and very durable. i bought the 6x4 bed liner kit and still have enough coating to apply a 3rd coat on the bottom of the bed.

Just ordered 35% pre-cut window tint for 30$ off of ebay. cant go wrong with that.

Still waiting on the new light housings so i can install my 6k HIDs.

I didn't find any grizzly grip at my local auto paint store found raptor liner? About 130 a kit didn't realize how pricey lol but I need something.

Go limo man lol nobody can see you. But then at night it's hard to see anything but headlights, that's how my 05 z71 is blacked out so 35 be good
