Well...first off, this isn't much of a build. But I wanted to post my progress up here for the pros to get some feedback and suggestions. I just picked up the truck about 3 weeks ago.

Here she is: 1995 4runner Limited, 3.0, Auto, 31x10.50x15 ATs, power everything, tore up leather seats, 104k miles, slow as hell.

Engine bay is pretty clean:

Nothing in the passenger side door worked, so I ran over to the local pick-n-pull and replaced all the motors and random broken pieces. I replaced the stereo and speakers and broken dash pieces. Just did the plugs, wires, cap and rotor with OEM parts from 1sttoyotaparts.com - great prices! Changed the brake pads and had the rotors machined. The drivers CV boot was torn so I replaced that.

I put in a Hayden tranny cooler...

Before:

After:

Also found some beefy tow hooks at the yard for $1.50/piece:

Picked up some Aisin manual locking hubs on ebay and put them on when I did the brakes:

Much better:

That's all so far. I'd like to get some 33x10.50x15s. Not too interested in lifting it. Eventually I'll do the same exhaust I have on my pickup, I've been very happy with the Borla. I want some sort of locker...I've been eyeing the Detroit TrueTrac. I know a lot of people on here don't care for it, but my wife drives the truck a lot and I'm not planning on doing any rock crawling. From what I've read it's got great on-road manners and is still way better than open diffs off-road. We'll mostly be doing fire roads, snow, etc...so an auto locker isn't too appealing, and selectables are out of my price range. At least that's what I say now I'd also like some armor...but man, these things are a money pit.

If anyone's in the 559 area and wouldn't mind a newbie tagging along on a trip...I'd love to let you pull me out of a hole

Some fun in the snow (taken with my Nikon D50):

Well, she leaked a little oil when I got her, crawled under there and it looked like it was coming from the transmission pan...weird. Decided to continue with the "new" used car maintenance today and drop the pan, change the filter, and flush the fluid. Look what I found!

Gotta love Fram Still looking for an answer on that gasket question if anyone has advice.
