Thanks for the info. I have two 8" 4.10 diffs laying around, but 4:10 is waaaay to low for a 2wd. My diff is an f372, 7.5" with 3:58 gears. I'd like to go higher for better hwy mileage. The reason I'd like an 8" diff is they will fit my spare diffs.... So if I want to autocross or go to the track I can throw another diff in since 8" rears are 30 spline and not 27 like most 2wd 5-lug pickups. My diffs are all from 4x4s.

Cool you are working on your dad's old truck. Having a connection like that is nice.

The prices on old 2WD's are crazy. We tried to find an 89-95 2wd extended cab for my daughter. Sky high prices for vehicles that had been to the moon and back

Exactly Robb, which is why I kept mine. I wish I had the extended cab, and if I bought another that's what I'd get, but they all have high mileage.... so I couldn't justify spending the coin on a truck with as much mileage, I don't know the maintenance history and I'd still have to drop some money into it.

Have a china made 3 row aluminum radiator on its way, and the eFan will be going in. Updates soon

The 3.07 is the lowest gear out there but im not sure if they made that for the 7.5in rears. My old 3.07 gearing was matched to a 4 speed manual. With a 5 speed 5th was useless unless cruising at 70plus. But on every hill you had to down shift. Would be a killer setup in a flat region.

Wish I could find a 3.07. It's a 30 spline, then I could use my other diffs for a quick swap if I want to autocross or drift. But I'd need the axle shafts also. 7.5 & 8 rear axles are the same size, width would be different per generation, but I have the 27 spline now. So none of my 30 spline rears can be swapped in.
Thanks

For Sale... all aluminum 3-Row Radiator for 4WD Toyota Pickup/4Runner 84-95, may fit other models, BUT WILL NOT FIT 2WD Pickup....

Short story, bought it hoping to fit it in my 2wd Pickup, but it is too tall since the 2wd has suspension clearance issues in the front....This radiator is actually deeper/taller then stock, so it will hang down slightly past the lower cross brace on the frame, but still uses the factory mounting points. So I need to return the radiator, or sell it.

I paid $145 for the radiator, and just looking to get my money back. I will ship on your dime, or I'd be happy to meet somewhere in the Baltimore/DC area.

Contact me ASAP, i need to recoup the funds to buy another radiator.

Little update...
Picked up an 86' rear axle 5-lug 30-spline with 3.07 gears. Now cruising at 70mph I'm around 2500rpm. Switching out the rear made the ruck smoother due to a bad wheel/axle bearing, but the vibes are still there, just not as bad. I did notice a bulge in the sidewall of a rear tire, I'll need to get another tire to see if this is the culprit of the vibration. If not, then the last to replace will be the output shaft bearing in the trans.
