You lost me on the rear bumper, what exactly did you weld and how did you improve the departure angle? It looks stock in the photo.

Um... That's the stock bumper painted black... RE RE was the one who did modification to his own bumper...

Lightbulb smoother ride......

hey i have a 1992 yota pickup 4x4 and i was wondering what is a cheap way to make my ride have a smoother ride an back roads and bumps? any advice?

on your diff breathers, do you have a filter at the top or is the hose just runing to a high spot under the truck

Yup, it sucks!! I grew inpatient (waited well over two months for them); so I settled on the 33x12.5 flavor a couple of weeks ago. But guess what!!! They're now in stock!!! WTH!!! That's after I had them mounted & balanced (kept them around for a bit to switch for the 10.5 if they ever had them); bout to rip off my hair!!!

Oh well, it's just 2".

Anything new? Also, someone commented to paint the wheels; I'd keep them the original alum. color, they look best!

Nice. And how are the 33x12.50's? Are they really wider than the 33x10.50's? I mean like you said it is just 2 inches.

Nothing really new. Next on the list is to get sliders for the truck, as I've already paid the price of not having sliders.

Yeah I was thinking about keeping them the same color as I already have a set of blacks with 31's. I use the 31's to DD and for hunting because of fuel. lol These are for trail use. idk, i might paint them gray or a gunmetal color. Im not a big fan of chrome. haha

One word: thick!! Yep, they're noticeably wider. No way they'd fit stock without a small lift unlike the 10.5. But I think that's in part due to the backspacing of my wheels. They stick out past my fenders approx. 1.5-2". Might have to borrow your idea for flares, I'm getting sick of the rocks pounding my rockers.

Sliders, huh? That's a good idea. How bad was the damage?

Yeah, not a big fan of chrome either.(unless it's a big rig, or polished alum./stainless) Stock alloys are not chrome they're just bright aluminum with clear on them. Might have to copy your idea and get a set of street tires to DD.

The damage wasn't that bad. The rocker was smashed in a little, causing the driver side door to jam. But I just beat it down with a hammer. Door closes perfect now. lol

Finally had some time off school to do some testing. lol. Went to hit some dirt before work yesterday near the Sac River. It rubs, but not that bad. PLanning to do the pinch weld mod this weekend.






And for the rear, well it tucks perfectly. No rubbing at all.
And i know it seems like it is rubbing, but its not, its the angle of how the pic was taken.

btw, the paint i used was Valspar from lowes... satin purple... held up GREAT for virtually NO prep...

check out www.rimpainter.com tho... hes on the boards by the same name... makes a TOP NOTCH kit...
