It is a standard high steer kit. Yes you can run it with the OME lift. I have 2" bumpstops to keep the steering rods from hitting the oil pan. I installed the steering box as high as possible and use a flat pitman arm. The stabilizer lower mount is welded to the swaybar tab on the axle. Works great!! The clearance is very tight but it is there.

his set up looks just like what im gonna buy. the flat pitman arm is what allows for a little or no lift from what i was told

rains been slowing my rebuild down. finally got a nice day yesterday to bust out the rattle can. got one side done, still need to paint my calibers. i got the other side taken apart and its almost back together. i have to say once you do one side, the other side is much easier and faster

We have online instructions on how to use the Factory SST tool here:
http://www.marlincrawler.com/tech/gu...l-instructions
To be honest very few people properly align their knuckles, and this is why we created our EcoSeal.
It's interesting how this person mounted his box vertical, it defeats the purpose of using a flat pitman arm!
Our kit is designed to slant the box (just like 86-95 Toyota's) which brings the tie rod end fairly close to the frame rail:
We recommend 3" kits or higher just so we don't have to sift through a bunch of tech calls with people wondering why our kit won't fit their stock truck. We have customers who run our High Steer kit using stock rear springs up front. You can play with the mounting of the box to help a bit more, but ultimately regardless of what kit you use, there must be able space beneath the oil pan for the tie rod.

BigMike

With the box in the factory position, it requires a normal (bent) pitman arm.
With the box in the vertical position, it requires a flat pitman arm.
The result is that the tie rod end is pretty close to the frame
You could just mount the box in an exaggerated stock position using a normal pitman arm to get the TRE as close to the frame as you'd like. The advantage of the flat pitman arm in this sense is that you don't have to tilt the box as far forward.

Here is some pics of my setup. Im using the heavy duty springs (have winch and arb bumper) and both are driver side springs. I have also removed the bottum leaf on both front springs. Hope this helps
What the F!! Sorry guys having problems posting pics again. I have a photobucket account but cant get anywhere. Anyone have any ideas?

thanks for the pictures. which mounting kit did you buy and can i angle the mounting kits anyway i want or are they already made to install at a certain angle. i have a flat pitman arm as well but havent installed anything. guess i know i can bend mine if i need to

I cant remember what kit I bought. It did not come with any instructions, and from what I have heard none of them do. Its kinda like hope you get it right before you weld. I would recommend bolting the gear box up with the mount to position it correctly before welding.

that was my plan. get the box mocked up to see if it will clear everything and the links line up good before i make my final install (weld in)

got it all back together and been dying to drive this thing after all this work. go to start the truck and nothing. got battery voltage to starter and starter signal.. = dead starter.
still got to clean the underside and spray some undercoat for now till i do a full tear down to the frame.
gonna drive it as much as i can and work on the interior next
