Just got off the phone with my new best freind. Hes running over to get some more pictures. He may even bring it to me tomorrow.

I did find out its an Sr5. Had AC and power steering. Has the rear seat still. Roll bar. This guy got it from an old lady whos husband bought it when it was 4 years old.

I've been pretty wound up about this. I have been after a 1st gen truck for a lil while and it being a trekker is epic.

Pics soon as I get em.

Looks like every things there. also original rear bumper. do you know why the hatch is off? did you receive yet? or did seller send you more pictures. I think its perfect candidate for restoration. assuming the frame is in good shape. Whats your plans?

He said the hatch hinges were broken, I have seen Slackers on his site already. He makes all kinda goodies!! He's gonna see some green from me on this one.

From the pictures the frame looks scaly...but from what I see salvageable. Looks like the rockers and fenders and doors appear to be solid too. The rear interior looks like a racoon got ahold of...lol.

Its coming tomorrow!

My plans...put her in the garage. try and get mobile at first.
I would like to go over the whole truck top to bottom. Not concours style...but do it right.

Its gonna be like having a unicorn in the garage!

Congratulations!!!! I just looked up the craiglists ad and if you paid the asking price or less. I think you made a very good investment. i see some fiberglass work. and interior work obvious. but your rite the frame appears to be scaly. I got a set of hinges you can have. if your interested just pay shipping. pitted but will get your hatch back on. have any other questions or concerns let me know. good luck.

Wow thanks man! Ill PM you tomorrow after she arrives.

Shes going straight in the garage.
I made a nice deal with him that included him driving it to me.
160 miles or so. We both made out nicely.

To be honest...I didnt even consider asking for a better deal.
I felt an intense desire to close the deal asap and secure my new baby. I love it already.

Your trekker is sweet and pretty much my goal.

The frame looks pretty bad on it, honestly. Are the frames on trekkers different than other trucks? Because if no then I would consider finding a good first gen frame and swapping everything over.

Anyways sweet find, I'd totally rock that as a DD.

It is a bit beat but looks salvageable. Be sure to check the cab floors, Winnebago did a crappy job with the seal between the bed and cab.

Curious how many screws they used to between the top and upper cab on yours. They used a ton on most trekkers I have seen.

Based on condition in the pics I am guessing you paid no more than $750 for it.
Fuel pump looks new but isn't hooked up. Have fun with it. You will be learning to do fiberglass looking at the cracks in the RR corner..

Looks like a decent find. If you need new hinges or other parts and info on the Trekkers, let me know. I have more information on them than anyone in North America. If you don't have your original sticker, I can get you your serial number and production date (day as well as month) and all original dealer info options for your truck when it was new. I have also had restoration replacements for the Winnebago sticker made and can type them with all original type set like new. Message me any time.

It should be here pretty soon!! Im excited!

I hope the frame is salvageable. But mightymouse has one if I need it. Frame swap seems overwhelming...but Im sure yotatech would assist with that endeavor.

Well. Shes a little rougher than I had imagined. Needs some floor pan work. Frame may make it. I am little overwhelmed with it right now...
but Im in no hurry.

Opened the glovebox....all the origial paperwork is there...original sales contract...owners manual..deatiled records from original owner....even a winnebego owners card...like a credit card.

Ill go get some more picturesere in abit.

Found the original owner who lives less than 15 miles from me.
Talked to him for a bit. Was very cool.
