Well, it has to be replaced, im sure the threads are shot thanks to the welded on nut. About the only thing I can think of is grinder/dremmel like he said.

Yall are genious, I bought a air chisel and hit it on the welds and they flew off like there was never anything there.

Time for an update.

Well I have had little time to work on the truck between going to school full time and also working full time. I finally got one side of the front axle put back together, but I have to go to my buddies house to get a spindle off a spare axle to finish the other side. Hopefully in the next month I will have it back driving again so I can show some of my buddies up. Oh one other thing that I found out, brake parts cleaner doesn't feel good when sprayed into your eye.

Yeah it's mostly california people on the Marlin forum but there are people from all over the world on that site. Most people I know who are into Toyotas & offroading, and have internet access know about Marlin. He's the man!

Sorry about that, missed the other pages of the thread where you fixed the problem.
I share your pain though, one of my 80's had about 60 ft of hot unfused, ungrounded wire in it when i first got it, and coat hangers for brake calliper retaining pins

Just an update:

Well school and work have taken up most of my time lately, but I have done a little work. I have taken my bed off just because I don't feel like wasting my time with it, so I'm building a flatbed. Also I bought new used not rusted out finders and I customized them, but you have to wait till I finish to see them.

I gave it to a guy in town. It was dented up bad on one side where someone had flipped the truck and the other side of the bed had alot of rust around the lip, and the front had rust holes in it. I didn't feel like messing with it any more so I ditched it to build a flat bed.

Okay, I got my driveshaft flange today, so now I can put my driveshaft in the truck and fill the front diff up with oil and hopefully if everything goes right later today I will be driving the truck once again.

My civic seats

I think the truck still has factory length shocks, the rear is really limited
