'88 and '89 MR2 came with a Supercharger as an option
'90+ came with a Turbo as an option
So the expensive stuff is already done
I agree with either the earlier M3 or any older MR2. And I'm almost positive I've seen SC400's with a stick...like 90% sure cause I looked at them a couple years ago...but I could always be wrong.
Don't get a Mustang GT or a Camaro unless you have a passion for them and will take good care of it. I'm tired of people getting them just cause they're cheap and quick, then driving the living hell out of them and trashing them.
Ever thought about an AWD? Maybe an Audi S4 ?
What about a Nissan 300ZX? RX-7 ?

True..
No time for another project as much as i'd like one
Na, i'll pass. HATE them.
I'll have to look more into an older MR2, rear engine, rwd = ftw
I cant find any bmw within price range. And only a few SC300's were stick no SC400's. I doubt i can find an S4 for 6K but maybe ill have to check the TT 300ZX's i forgot about them.
Correct
I really want a 2 door but the is300's arent bad

i do like the idea ofan mr2, i like the 80 box style, theyre small, low, and sporty, if you lower it, and put on racing suspension it will handle great!! then you can get a header (or headers, im no sure what engine it has lol) maybe an air raid intake and tb spacer, then maybe even a super or turbo charger!!!
ive always liked the mr2's, imo, they are baby ferrari's (rear engine if im not mistaken, right?)
you can probably get a good deal on one, just make sure its a stick!!

I'm with this guy. Subarus are awesome little cars. The AWD is really amazing, I really feel like I have control-and that's with my beater car, which is a 97 Impreza outback that cost me $250. I drove an 09 Impreza last month and it was a blast. I have more fun in those cars going under 50 than I thought possible.
Also, they're decent on gas, lots of them achieve 200K, and they're good in snow. My two cents...
