You'd be surprised, my friend has sold 2 in the last 18 months for $1700ish, both of which in much worse shape. Some old timers around here love these things, they're almost like collectors (they get annoyed if it isn't kept all original). I'll see 'em go on Ebay from time to time for $1200 - $1300 and people still pay a couple hundred to ship.

I don't need the cash, and I'm not in a hurry to sell , so why not start there? Besides that's where the "offers welcome" comes into play....

Thanks for the concern though.

I think it depends on your market, I don't think that price is out of line. I see Honda 250rs regularly priced at $3000 down here and I know the history, etc behind those bikes but you can get an 04 450 for a few bucks more and not have a 21 year old hunk of junk.

*I mean hunk of junk in the nicest way possible

Up here an '04 YFZ 450 will run you $4000 - $5000, if you're lucky enough to find one. (Ask me how I know ) A lot of people don't like to finance crap, (me included) so dropping $1500 bucks cash for something that's fast and reliable for the kids, is a lot more appealing then paying a couple hundred a month for the next few years IMHO. And if you have $5000 laying around, well you could almost buy three of them, and the whole family could go play.

To each their own I guess.

You see them in that price range here too (at least advertised that way) but I don't think many of them are selling for that amount. I sold all of my toys (quad, streetbike, jet skis, etc) a few years ago before I got married and decided there were more important things (house, etc). I am not in the position yet to buy but have recently started looking as a few guys in my neighborhood ride and I am getting the itch. I have found two 04 Honda 450's for $3500 locally forsale, which makes it hard for me to believe that someone else here is selling the same bike for $500-$1500 more even if they are asking that much.

I think your quad is priced fairly and will sell for that or close to it, I am sure it would down here. There is a market for the older two stroke bikes.

they arent the fastiest things on 4 wheels but they can hold there own! they can keep up with Yamaha blasters....when i was younger we ran into thin time to time out 4 wheeling up in the mountains in alberta canada and they really could go....they are a great quad but they are old!

i wanted one so bad but my parents would never let me have a raceing style quad...but yet they would let me on dirtbikes...kinda strange.

if you get what your asking for it...awesome but wow seems like a lot of money

Well, for all the naysayers out there, today was the first day in the paper, got calls right away and sold it to the first guy that came to look at it for $1500. (Which is what I realistically wanted.)

Thanks for the banter!
