I thought I'd just let you guyz know that this was available. I know they don't come around very often so it's not too often that people actually attempt to search for one....so, here it is. Do you ever get these in OAK color? They always seem to be gray?

I, personally, have only had this grayish-blue (Toyota calls it 'Misty Moon'....) color available for sale. I've seen brown covers, though...so I know they exist...just hard to find.

Two questions.

1) I had read somewhere that the compass won't read properly in North America. Do you know if this is true or not?

2) Did the Japanese domestic market ever offer something similar for the 2nd generation Surfs?

1) As for the compass not working properly in North America...not true. The compass will work properly anywhere in the world. You might be confusing that with the Celsius/Farenhiet (sp?) issue on the outside temp reading.

2) Toyota DID make an option ''navi boy'' which was made for the 130 Surfs. It's a dash mount digital compass/calander/clock/alarm/stop watch. Here are a couple of pics of that one:
