Homemade headlight wiring harness
Some people have been asking questions about my wiring harness, so here are a few wiring diagrams. The relays and light connectors may be wrong, but these diagrams should give anyone a pretty good idea.
This is the basic wiring harness you can buy.
All the parts were really cheap, and I had the wire just sitting around.

just a question, but doesnt running both filaments on a single bulb significantly reduce its life? like an H4? i can see the advantage on a dual bulb setup like the new 4runners and tacos.

I would never do the dual bulb setup because I think the lights would burn out the first time the high beams are used. Someone just asked how I would do it. I will just remove the picture.

Does your high beam indicator work inside the cab? According to Roger Browns website it won't, which make sense after looking in my haynes manual headlight diagram.
It might work if the coil of the relay lets enough current through to light up the blue indicator.

Thanks, I've had the relays etc laying around for months, just never get around to doing it. My DRL resister pack has been gone for years...
In Sask DRL is a good idea though. I drove 2 months ago from Calgary -> Lloydminster -> Rosetown -> Medicine Hat and back to Calgary.
Anything that makes a vehicle stand out is a good idea over there.
