Unfortunately the time has come to sell my '86 Turbo 4Runner. Most folks in the local Colorado crawling scene will recognize and have probably seen this rig at several of the Toyota Jamboree's we have out here.While i owned it i took it to few a jambos as well (2011 and 2012-13 i believe). The truck has always been solid and a really great/fun experience to own and crawl with but over the years i've since gotten married and had a kid and just havent had time to give her the attention she deserves for a few years now. I've also moved a few times within Colorado and outside of starting it up every few months to run through a heat cycle or two this 4Runner has become a front lawn ornament with the occasional trip around the local dirt trails just to keep it limber. Below i am going to link the build thread from the owner i purchased the truck from as well as the original sale thread where there is a wealth of information on the build-out of the truck and various parts listings on the truck.

The only changes that this truck has seen since i've owned it are the following:
-Trailgear Trunion delete kit (due to me breaking a trunion bearing at the first jamboree i crawled it at)
-added a synth winch rope
-replaced original doors with black/rhinolined manual window doors for trail purposes
-ford taurus interceptor electric fan

The truck is pretty much in the same condition as the build/sale thread and the only real wear i have put on her is the tires which are close to being baldish, the full-size spare has still never seen the road and is like new. I have maintained regular oil changes of full synthetic mobil1. I can provide pictures of the condition of the tires which in my opinion would need to be replaced (at least 3 of them) if any long term road based driving were to be in its future.

I am located in Castle Rock, CO and i am asking for a 5K FIRM price which is considerably less than what i purchased the truck for. As the listing and threads state, the disclaimer is that this vehicle DOES NOT HAVE AC OR A CATALYTIC CONVERTER so please take that into consideration if you live in a county that requires emissions for street use. My goal is to not let this amazing rig just continue to decorate the street in front of my place for years until i can finally get around to having time to embrace crawling again.

The Vehicle
1986 Toyota Turbo SR5 Automatic 4Runner. The Turbo 4Runner was the top of the line option. It has the digital gauge cluster, tilt-o-meter/altimeter, power windows, power door locks, SR5 seats w/ Turbo embroidered into them, removable top, sunroof and special door panels. The odometer reads 248,631, which is not correct. The speedo cable broke earlier this year, so I am guessing that it is closer to 258,000. This 4Runner is about the cleanest example your going to find!

The Engine
LC Engineering short block bored .030 over, installed around 200k (before I bought it)

I removed the turbo about two years ago, the turbo checked out good (end play, no cracks, etc). I replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and all related turbo gaskets/seals.

The Bad
-Exhaust does not have cat. It runs great, but I have never had an emissions test. If you have emission testing, it will need a cat installed. It is your responsibility to pass emissions, not mine.
-Speedo cable is broken and needs to be replaced. The speedo does not work. It’s an easy fix, but I have not had time.
-The AC has been removed
-Both driver and passenger side door weather seals could use replacing
