Talking '99 4Runner LTD - S/C, URD, Sahara, IPT, Locked....

***** SOLD *****

I put this up for sale last summer, then I got all sentimental and backed out (getting an unexpected better paying job also helped). Now I'm just about ready to part with it for real. I decided building a shop to work on the Cruisers would be a better use of money, and having three gas guzzlers REALLY isn't that practical....

Here are the specs, I'm sure I'll miss something...

Summary:
'99 4Runner LTD, Desert Dune, 4x4, S/C, URD Kit, Factory E-Locker, Auto, Leather, FULLY LOADED, 145k, Tow pkg, Approx 17mpg economy

Exterior:
ARB Sahara w/ IPT fogs
2.5" Revtek Front Lift w/ diff drop
OME 891's rear with Monroe air shocks (at least 3" of lift and added towing capacity)
285x75R16's WC TXR's on Ivan Stewart TRD wheels (also have stock wheels w/ crappy snow tires)
Clear corners
Black Altezza rear lights
Smitty Built rear tail light guards

Performance:
TRD 1st Gen S/C - 25k on nose cone - Stock pulley
Complete URD kit - Approx 15k ago - All electrical done by certified tech
IPT VB upgrade - Approx 15k ago
Hayden 1679 tranny cooler - One size bigger then TRD cooler
Dual Exhaust from cat back
Deckplate w/ Amsoil filter
Airraid Intake tube
Amsoil in entire drivetrain - Approx 15k ago

Interior:
Lotek dual guage pod with Boost and Tranny temp
Nearly flawless leather (slight wear on drivers seat)
Rear tan cargo liner (similar to Husky)

Maintenance / Reliability / Condition:
I purchased with 110k on it, and am the second owner. I used to do automotive detailing and classic car restoration and am extremely anal. This thing has been well cared for and I don't do second rate hack jobs.

I haven't taken it on serious wheeling trips, I prefer to beat the crap out of my 40. Previous owner was a rural Realtor, and I have a long highway commute, so that's where the miles came from.

Replaced Transfer case due to bad AWD engagement motor at 113k (new tcase had approx 50k on it).

Regualr oil, lube, etc...

Doesn't burn or leak oil.

Replaced all fluids (except oil) with Amsoil syntehtic at 130k.

As far as I know, timing belt has not been replaced, but I do have a new one with a new water pump that I will include, if I get a good price for the rig.

New plugs, injectors, fuel pump with URD kit at 130k.

This thing runs PERFECTLY, and tows like a dream. I tow my FJ40 approx 1200 miles round trip every summer to the Oregon coast with no problems.

Absolutely no pinging issues with S/C. It actually ran perfect even before the URD kit. But the kit added a substantial gain in power.

Paint is near perfect, just standard rock chips. Center panel on rear bumper was replaced due to a friend backing into a small post (caused a very small dent) it is still primer black, asking price will reflect cost of getting this painted. No accident damage that I am aware of. Straight body and drives perfectly.

Price / Delivery:
You can see that I have thousands invested in this thing (came close to $6000 when I added it up), but I know it is ridiculous to expect getting it back. It books out at $11,900 (NADA), and $11,700 (Kelley). I'm asking $13,900 OBO. I think this is reasonable considering the extras. Much less than that and I'll keep the Ivan's.

As of now I WILL NOT PART OUT.

I'm located in Spokane, WA and would be more then willing to work out delivery within 400 miles ish (Seattle, Portland, West Montana, etc) if I get a fair price.

Pics can be found hear: Webshots Link
There are some older pics in there, just go to the ones at the end with today's date. I have a crap load more if you need every angle of every seat...

Feel free to PM me with pic requests / questions.

The only part of this that isn't killing me is that I'm loving the 80

Thanks!
Shane

EDIT:

Just realized, I think some of the pics on that web site show the aftermarket stereo, that's an easy $2,000 extra right there, that's why I didn't include it in the parts list. Just wanted to point out it would be the OEM premium stereo unless you want to haggle.

Also, I'm not in a hurry to sell and would be willing to arrange a deposit if you need time to sell your stuff first. (I know how it goes, you find the perfect rig, but the timing is a little off...)

Last, I post over on ih8mud as well, so if more posts makes you more comfortable look me up over there under yoda-g3.

Thanks again,
Shane

If it comes to parting it out, and I honestly I hope it doesn't, I'd be interested in the URD kit. But really, best of luck on the sale, I'm sure you'll get some hits on it.

I have a buddy going to school at EOU, would be a good excuse for a road trip.

Thanks to everybody else, its hard parting with a rig I've put so much into, but how does the saying go "Life is what happens when you are busy planning."

(I just hope that I don't really regret this....)

Hey Yoda.. Long time... Sorry we never go to meet. I moved from Spokane last year and now I'm living about 80 miles from the head of the Rubicon in Norcal! Good luck on the sale of your sweet 3rd Gen.

Ya that sucks man, finally find a nearby Yota-Head and never get a chance to go break stuff. Just got too busy with that first baby. At least you're near some fun wheeling now. Drop me a line if you ever come visiting.

Take care,
Shane

Shane,

I'm selling my 66 GTO hardtop probably this Saturday. Depending on the final deal, I might be able to buy your 4Runner. I'll let you know what happens and what things look like after Saturday.

Shane,

I talked to my credit union today and the lady said that I can get the loan for $13,900 on it. I'm trading my GTO for a Dodge quad cab 4x4 for my wife to drive. She's been driving the same 95 Camaro for the last 10.5 years and she needs a newer truck.

It will be next week when I can get the loan. If you want you can PM me with all the details of the Runner that is being left on it for the total value of the vehicle. Please let me know ASAP so I can take the info down to the credit union.

Are you leaving the subwoofer and amp in the Runner? At least the monster cable suggests that you have an amp in there from the one picture of the interior. For the $13,900 you're leaving the Ivan Stewart wheels on it aren't you? Just let me know ASAP.

Thanks,
Doug

Just pm'd you.

(To clarify for everyone else, that price DOES include the Ivan's and OEM 5 stars, and the stereo is NOT included, but negotiable if you want to pay more, that's why I left it off the parts list, its pretty nice equipment.)
