SURVEY: BFG M/T's or PRO COMP M/T's or PRO COMP XTERRAIN
#23
ive got 35" bfg mt's and i cant complain a bit, i would never pay that much for a pro crap, i watched a buddy of mine rip right thru a side wall like it was made of paper. if you had the money though and didnt drive it on the street that much though, those irok tires look pretty tempting

I've had BFG MTs and now have about 3000 miles on ProComp Mts. I would recommend the BFGs (I've had many sets and love them,) although I can't complain about the Comps, they balanced easily and are quiet for a mud tire. (An internet deal turned out to be within driving distance, so I got a really fine deal - $615 all done for 35x12.50s) If I hadn't gotten such a smokin deal I would NEVER have considered the Comps - you can buy MTRs for the normal price of Procomps. MTRs are very good too although noisier on the street.

I had Bridgestone MTs and they were great. However I have no other mud tire to compare them to. They were a bit louder than my BFG ATs, but they were far better in the rain and snow. I had about 20k when I sold that truck and I had about 1/2 of the tread left. I would buy them again. I now have Nitto Terra Grapplers (which are nice), but I miss my MTs.

Hmm, I have been looking at those tires and the Radial TSLs, just cant really decide. I know the Swampers will be better offroad, and can last about as long on a light truck that doesnt have a lead foot. But im just not sure. The TSLs are cheaper for a little bigger of a tire 33x1050. Any thoughts?

If you don't need anything bigger than a 33" get the firestone destination MT, I have heard nothing but raves about them. The only problem is that they don't get any bigger than 33. If I decide not to move up to a 35 next time around I'm definitely going to give them a whirl.
