Question Question about longevity of Bridgestone Revos AT.

I have Bridgestone Revo AT (265/70R16) on my 1996 4Runner 4x4. They were great tiers when they were new. The problem is that I only had them for 30.000 miles and at the best I may get another 5.000 miles before tire indicators on all four will start touching the pavement.
Any one else experience short life of those tires?
And another question: any recommendation on replacement? Again, I like the traction and feel of Revos and I just wish they would last longer.

I have would have your aligment checked as well as the toe. I have over
70K on my Revo's and will wait until spring until I finally replace them.

I have 40k on my revos. I should have no problem getting another 20k out of them. Have you been doing general maintenance? Rotating and maintaining proper pressure?

Thank you for responses: I guess I just got ?bad? set???

As far as maintaining truck and tires here what I have:

Alignment was checked when tires were installed.
Truck handles great: no vibration, no play in a steering.
Tires were balanced and rotated every 4K miles and I have always maintained 33 PSI in the front and 34 PSI in the rear.
Tires wearing out in a very good pattern: it is equal wear on the tread side on all four tires.

Also, I do not think that my driving style is a culprit: I have 96K on the truck and I am still on original brake pads.

That seems like a very short life for REVOS. I have just over 50,000 miles on my set (275/70/16). I installed these nearly three years ago and have not babied them. I do rotate the tires every 5,000 miles, and have enjoyed a very even wear pattern.

I am installing a new set of 265/75/16 REVOS on Friday and hope for similar or better tire life.

I had Michelins pryor to my Revos, and the perceived mileage I'll get looks to be a lot less than those got. At 35K with 'em now and I may get another 10 to 20, maybe. Got 78k on the LTXs and they still had 1/4 to 1/3 tread left! of course, they had NO wet or mud traction period even when they were new.

My biggest complaint with the Revos is that they tend to wander over the road a lot. Not so bad now, but when they had a lot more tread it was really irritating.
