i have a few questions about these
1) where do you buy them?
2) are they expensive?
3) does BFG make Pro Comp because they are the same tread patterns?

4 wheel parts is their exclusive distributor.... any tire place can get them through other distributors

they are not made by bfg... bfg is actually made by michelin

they arent too expesnive, about on par with comparable tires

what is a cheap and decent m/t? that question is very subjective... personally the dayton timberline mud terrains outperformed the bridgestone dueler m/ts and are made by the same manufacturer.... they arent too pricey, but you will need to know what you are talking about..... others that arent too spendy are general grabber muds and the kumho road venture mts (dont know if these are actually good or not)

they do indeed run small in their sizing. i have 33s yet curiously, they measure 31 on the truck. makes me mad. im not going with them in the future.

4WheelParts told me that they own and distribute Pro Comp and Explorer Pro Comp. They claimed that Cooper manufactures the tires for them. Anyways, 4WheelParts has the best price. They highly recommend the XTerrains, and claim that the MudTerrains wears quicker (< 30K miles).

Anyways, I am considering Firestone MTs (slightly cheaper than GoodYear and BFG). Yokohoma and Grabber sounds good (cheap).

I think Dayton is manufactered by Firestone. You can find them on the Firestone website.

4wp is not the only place that distributes them... they are available through any tire place... well anyone that actually knows about customer service and such... however, 4wp is probably the cheapest place to get them... keep an eye out, they run specials of buy 3 get 1 free regularly

they do, the all terrain 32x11.5 are actually 31.3x11.4 according to truckperformance.com

I actually want to get those when my tires wear out because they'd be bigger but wouldn't throw off my speedo much at all

4wp is not even close to the cheapest place - for anything! (Except Maybe when they are offering specials.) Right now they have 35x12.50 15 Mudterrains on "special" for $187 each, that's $748 a set, plus shipping, plus local installation... Gonna be $900 by the time you're done. Last week I was quoted $612 installed at a local tire shop for 35" Pro Comp Muds. Always shop around.

A buddy of mine has the xterrains on his Jeep and hates them. They have lasted so far about 20,000 and are bald, they cupped horribly, and didn't work all that great off road. Also they are also directional so you can only rotate them front to back.

I agree. 4wheelparts are not the cheapest on anything. I think they even jack up their prices when they do the buy 3 get 1 free deal.

Anyways, you can get the same setup for much cheaper at a local shop. Plus, you can get warranty from the local shops.

I ran 33x12.5R17 Pro Comp M/T's on my 4th gen for a month or two before I went to a larger tire. They definitely measure smaller than they should, as previously mentioned. Though the tread patterns of the Pro Comp M/T and the BFG M/T are very very similar, the sidewalls are different where the lugs wrap the edge of the tire, as well as minor differences in other spots.

I was actually pretty impressed with the PC M/T's. The rubber compound is a little hard, but they performed great in the mud, snow, gravel and rain. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another set in the future. As far as the x-terrains, I cannot comment as I have never run em, though they do look very sweet.

Well i think that the procomp mt's are great. Im running 31x10.50 on my truck and they seam to work very well. And if you wait till the right time to buy them from 4wheelparts you can get there 4 for the price of three deal. They are currently doing this deal until wednesday i think. They have that deal all the time when i got mine about 4 monthes ago they had that. I would definetaly reccomend the mud terrains. Just my $.02 though.

I've been running my X-terrains for about 30,000 and they are at about 65% tred left. I've never had problems with them off road, and I think they do amazing. But every one can have different expirances.

Pro Crap has never had an original idea. It's all about the $$$.

They are the bling tire for people who don't ever venture off pavement. And Cooper makes them? Screw that, if I wanted crap, I'd go straight to the source. And no, I don't own any, but my friend has some Pro Crap 33 AT's and they are terrible.

they may be unoringinal ..i have them...and i venture offroad..

but you are right...they just dont look good with my 20 inch spinners...


but yes, as the same time, i do think they suck as well

Dunlop Mud Rover are pretty cheap. What about the Hankook Dynamic MT? I never hear them mention in here before but always see ads in magazines. It looks like a cheap tire - basic-looking tread design.
