Here's Steve Schaefer's (Sonoran Steel) website. http://www.sonoransteel.com/thirtyfive.html He runs Yokohama Geolandar AT + II's in 35's.

What kind of pics are you looking for?
I'm running 32x11.50s on my 94 4runner. Heres a thread with some pics.

If you want some close up pics of the tires let me know, I think I can dig some up.

I believe most of my pics are on a different computer. Look 94TNrunner up on photobucket you might find something you're looking for. Let me know what you find or what else you need and I might be able to find a camera to get some pics

Hopefully, this is not hijacking your thread but I thought you should know.

I don't have pics but just got these on my 3rd gen (used) yesterday. They are loud as hell. I've read posts about Yokohama and only one guy on this board said they were "kinda loud."

I went from a stock 15" alloy wheel with 31's (Michellin EXT - I can't remember the tire but it was one of the cheaper ones) to 16" Jaos wheels and the Yokohamas. It is night and day with the tire noise.

For additional info, I just got the truck lifted with a Revtek spacer kit and put in new HD bilsteins a week earlier. Once the lift was in, I did not notice tire noise but did notice some air noise from the higher center of gravity. With the new wheels, it sounds like a rumbling noise as I pick up speed and the noise dramatically reduces during breaking to nothing while completely stopped.

Thats interesting... I have had my AT+II's on for about 2,000 miles in every type of driving possible (accept snow) and have noticed them to be farly quiet (accept when turning really hard). These tires are VERY quiet IMO, I have went threw BFG AT, Michellin MTX and now these and these are the same as the Michellin's...

Here are a few pics today from my shock install. Some close ups of the tires for ya which are 265/75/16 on a stock runner. And one pic of the new shocks since I know people like pics

enjoy!

Here's a thread on the same tires we are discussing and this guy noticed tire noise after 10,000 miles. He loves the tires (performance wise) but will not purchase them again due to the loud noise. As my tires are used, I think this was one reason the previous owner sold them.

Another link from tirerack.com with the same types of comments on tire noise. Not being an a@#$@#, just want those out there to be informed.

Having said this, I'm still going to buy two new Geolander A/T tires because the tires handle extremely well.

I dont see noise being much of an issue really. Not to be an @$$, but we are talking about an AT or All Terrain tire. This tire is designed for more than road use and because of this you get some trade-offs. Its a fairly aggressive AT tire and therefore is going to share some characteristics of agressive tread tires....one of these turns out to be some road noise. Chances are, if you're that worried about road noise you probably have no reason to be looking for this aggressive of a tire.

This being said, I've only had mine for about 15,000 miles and really haven't noticed much noise at all. I can't hear them with the windows up and even with them down, its certainly not unbearable. The upsides of the Geolander ATs far outweigh the downsides.

NP for the pics, I was doing the shocks and saw your request before and thought it'd be perfect.

As for these tires, I also agree that they are the best bang for buck period. I think that very few people need the 3-ply sidewall of the BFG AT (which I had before these) unless you are doing some serious rock wheelin'. In ALL other aspects I like these tires the same or better than the BFG's and they are much cheaper. I got all 4 mounted and balanced for about $450 which is pretty smoking for a AT tire in this size. A friend of mine has these same tires and hes got about 25k on them and granted, they are a bit noisy but not bad at all IMO. My brothers BFG MT's are much worse. As for mine right now, they are just as quiet as my last pair of Michellin MTX's; but we will see as time goes on how loud they get; even though I don't care cause I am 100% satisfied with these tires in all aspects. I love them to death and can't wait for the snow to start fallin. woo!!

I think if you are looking for something 11.5" wide then the 285's is what you want. Im not sure how wide these 265's are, but I know that they are about 31.7" in diameter which would technically make them a "32" However if you get the 285's, then obviously the diameter will grow since the sidewall is relational to the width, although 20mm isn't all that much anyway.

I also don't know about 2nd gens, and whether or not yur runer is lifted or not, but being all stock I had to grind out a bunch of the plastic mud guard/fender liner crap on both sides to get them to stop rubbing.

I have a set of them, but they are pretty new - just 5k miles or so. I am more concerned about the tread life than the noise, though. But whatever. So far, they have been great in all conditions - like the epinions.com post. I guess time will tell.
