Need Quick Answer: BFG T/A Sipe Or Not?
My guys at ATC are recommending I sipe my new set coming in today. What do you think? They already appear to have factory sipes, though they're substandard on wet pavement at least compared to Nitto T/G's w/o sipes. Here's a pic of the current T/A KO tread. It's only $10/ea. Whaddya think?
Edit: They showed me a siped Yoko Geolander and the cuts were mostly all within the tread block. Shouldn't the sipes allow a water path out?

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking the same, but trust my tire guys opinions. They aren't the type to upsell, they really believe in what they do and back it up with great service. I called them and cancelled the sipes just in time, they arrived from the distribution center so I'm off to the shoe store soon.

I wouldnt touch em. They are a good tire as they are. Get in some mud and you wil realize they are an a/t tho. Mileage wise they should hold up well I have almost 20k on the set i have now and they havent even worn the tit between the threads down. Keep them rotated and you should be good

No pics, Corey. The new set was defective, so they're giving me a big credit toward anything they sell. I'm deciding now which way to go for my use.
