how many of you have them on your trucks or had them on your trucks?? after doing tons of research, other than the kumho's the Desitinations have very very good ratings. i called my local tire place that everyone and their brother goes to and they said that they are great tires and see absolotely no negative feedbacks bc of them. of course now they are firestone sellers but those guys are usually pretty durn honest

Those that run them seem to like them. I haven't used them myself, but they are at the top of my list for replacement tires this spring. I'm weighing the Destination ATs along with Nitto TGs.

I was talking with a tire dealer and he urged me to go with the P rated version of the Destination ATs rather than the LT version. The reasons were:
1) a better ride with softer sidewalls
2) longer tread life

but I'm leaning toward the LT tires as they have more meat on the treads and the stronger sidewall makes me feel good. Just to add to the discussion on this thread - anyone have thoughts on P vs LT?

I run the firestone destination MT and I love them. Great traction and good wear so far. Not sure about the AT

my guy told me the same thing but the LT's should last longer in tread life than the standard P (passenger) tires.. the P's are 4ply and the LT are 6plys. so not that much of a difference in ride. also he mentioned that the LT's wont sway as bad cornering. now i dont know that much about tires so i dont know if he is full of sheet or not. those guys are pretty trust worthy.

my problem is that the LT's come only in 265/75/16's and i am not sure if that size will fit without rubbing on my 02 taco dbl cab 4x4. i have 245/75/16's on her now with plenty of wheel well room left

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as I need new tires too. Anyone know if the 265/75/16 would fit under the hitch?

i have the firestone destination at. i believe i got the LTs. there a good tire,
they seem to be holding up well, i have about 10,000 miles on them since september 07.

I have them on my truck , about 12,000 miles on them so far. I know there were two of the four that throw up outragoues numbers when i balance them, they ride ok, but have held up good. Not a real aggressive looking AT but gets the job done.

i will never buy these tires again. had them on my crv they worked well fro about 5k then they went to . had 1 or more flats a week. the tread would rip. they replaced 2 of the 4 tires due to the amount of flats (only allowed to patch 3 times per tire before they are required to replace tire).
get the dayton a/t, they are a 110% better tire.
when i leave my house i have to drive 8 miles uphill out of a canyon on a forest service road before i get to pavement. the daytons are good on dry loose gravel, moderately deep mud and good in snow. dont waste you time on the firestones if you drive on dirt or offroad
they were just a big main in the neck for me, so i say NO dont get them.

X2 plus heavy sidewalls, Have run them @ 5-8psi. Got a great deal through an online vender with a road hazard. Cost me a little over half of what firestone on post wanted.

you are the first person i have heard that from. the guys at the tire place where i get my tires use these and they offroad all the time. they all even switched from BF's for this tire in AT and in MT. they love them. they are some redneck boys and they aint easy on their offroad vehicles either.

after having 2 flats (holes too big to temporarily plug) and having to dismount one tire and put on a older tire just so i could get into town i said hell with them and the company i bought them from let me upgrade to the daytons for cheap.

They seem like an okay design. But when I go to upgrade my tires, my choices will be as follows, from most-likely to least-likely (all in 265/75/16 LT A/T's):

1) Nitto TG
2) Bridgestone REVO
3) Michelin LTX A/T

Still contemplating between the TG and REVO. It'll probably come down to price, which I'm pretty sure the TG will come out on top.

were your the 4 ply or 6 ply?? i am ordering mine with the 6ply just for the added strength ( i know it isnt much but still)... you are the only 2 people i have ever heard bad things about this tire.. hmm

I had some of those for about 2 weeks in a 92 4runner. they were great tires. very smooth on the road, and look very aggresive sadly, i didn't have a chance to take them off-roadding, my 4runner caught on fire

well they have the best ratings of all the AT tires on tiretrack.com. so they cant be all that bad. ill let you guys know how they are when i get them on and drive the sheit out of em'.

theyre a good tire, i just dont like firestone period. i like my BFGs.. i just hate the price tag

not sure i cant recall they were the smaller tire 215/75/15 for a crv

I loved my revos... For me they had hands down the best on road traction, especially in the wet. They might not be the most aggressive looking but they sure were amazing off road too. They are definitely worth a try IMHO...
