I'd go wider if not taller like 275/70/16. BTW 265/75/16 only rubs on running board tip at full lock to either side. Tires just flicks the endcap tip, it doesnt even happen all the time it eventually goes away after few months as they wear out. I don't regret going with 265/75/16 at all.
I went to Discount tires for my AT KOs. Went wheeling and sliced my sidewall, they replaced for $15bucks under warranty. Started having balancing problem a year later, they eventually replaced all 4 tires for $60bucks.

I just read this thread, and i am just putting in my .02 as to why folks who are looking for tires should go for the BFG AT KO's. My family has been running BF Goodrich's All Terrain KO's for many years on our Toy's. First, my 1987 4Runner has been and still is a daily driver, but it is also used for pretty serious 4 wheeling. Myself, and my parents live in CO, and we see some rain, alot of snow, and my parents live in the mountains on dirt roads, so we see some mud too. For an onroad, driving tire, they are excellent. They wear well, and they give great traction. They are fairly quiet as well, though i like some noise, makes people look (lame, i know). In snowy, icy condtions, they are excellent, PROVIDED you know how to handle a truck in those conditions, ie slow, defensive driving. Rain i have to say, they are good or bad depending on the size you have. My tires are 9.5 inches wide, whereas others in my family have 10.5 inch wide tires. My truck does wonderfully in the rain, won't hydroplane unless the water gets to be above about 4 inches. The wider tires will. I have to special order my tires, and they are more expensive, but i love these tires, so they're worth it to me. As for offroad, the AT's are great in everything except Mud. They are TERRIBLE in mud. any mud any deeper than about 3 or 4 inches, and the tread fills in, and you spin to a stop, lockers or no, your truck won't go. They give excellent traction on slickrock, sand, boulders, just about all dry offroad condtions. If you like to play on the rocks, get the AT's, if you like to play in the mud, get the MT's. The MT's will not wear as well, and do not give as good of traction on regular roads, as well as they are noisy. They also don't do well in the snow, but they aren't a bad on road tire either, if you dont see much in the way of icy condtions. I do, however, believe that they are excellent offroad tires, and they do much better in the mud.
BFG also makes the Krawler tire for more extreme aplications, and i have no experince with them. I don't think they even make anything less than a 35, and i need 33's. They are also expensive.

I know I'm digging up an old thread but for anyone else that searches it, I got BFG AT KO's on my jeep wrangler and I loved them. I did alot of highway driving from Maryland to South Carolina and faired extremely well through 30"+ of snow. I wouldnt own anything else, unless I was a heavy offroader then I'd get something a little more aggresive.

My BFG k/o's are only 6ply load range C's so they dont have a stiff of a carcass as your and as such will require a higher inflation. (40psig for me)

I'm happy with every set I've owned, I like the way they look and the way they perform. I've never had balancing issues with any set and they handle well on or off road.

My brother has had the a/ko's on his truck for a year and a half, no real tread wear. Great tire in all conditions, he lives in seattle and drove down to Baja and wheeled all over without a prob. He says that he has never had a hydroplaning issue. I'm buying some tomorrow. Can't wait to get rid of the rugged trail tires that came stock.
