I need new tires, and I'm wanting some Toyo M/Ts. Anyway, I cant seem to find the weight of the 31x10.50r15, and I'm worried about performance with them. Just wanting to know how much performance I'm going to lose with them, especially when I get in the mud and dirt.

I just got some 245/75/16 Goodyear mtr retreads from treadwright. They were 59 lbs a piece. I regeared to 4.56 right before the tire swap and I still could feel a huge decrease right away just from the sheer weight of the tires. Who knows how much worse it would lag with 4.10s

Want specifically the Toyos?

I mean, I have used 31x10.5s on all three of my 22re, 4.10 5spd equipped Yotas. The first week of ever driving with them was terrible and it felt really slow, but I got used to it that fast. Now, I like the combo and know how to drive it well (5 years)

Do you have 31's or 31 mud terrains? I could tell a big difference between same size tires of diff weights.

I have 31 A/Ts(about worn out) now, and I'm use to how fast it is now. I'm also putting in a new motor, and I figured I'd have a little more power than my old one with 266,590 miles on it, but I don't really want it be much slower.

i ran / run both all terrain and mud terrains. Of course there is a shifting difference, but really makes little difference to me.

are you REALLY worried about the weight??? If you threw a 50lb bag of sand in he bag, would it amount to a hill of beans in your performance?? No. So don't get hung up on the weight. The size of the tires is what makes the difference. My truck handled better with my 31 all terrains versus stock size, felt more sure-footed and the wider stance made me feel better on the curves.

I'm somewhat worried about the weight, best I can figure is that the Toyos are about 15lbs. heavier than my current tires. I'm just worried about losing a great amount performance, on and offroad.

60lbs is about equivalant to an 8 yr old child, do you really think your truck would know the difference?

I don't know anything about the TOYOs but, realy , weight never was a factor for me for tires.

The total weight, not to much difference. But the weight directly attached to what propels your rig, a little more of a difference. In the end, get what you like. If it's too slow...... Regear!

The more I think about it, I think the new motor will make up for the weight difference, because I know my old motor was down on power. I'm thinkin I'll be fine.
