any updates ? Im going to start another swap here soon , im liking the idea of using the 340f instead of the 341e.
hows that working out for you? not having to make new shafts and spending half as much on the adapter sounds great.
what did you do about the 4 prong rotor ?
so basically your just using the 340f shell with all the parts from the 341e,plus the extra hole you drilled out. The bellhousing bolts right up ?
thanks!

hey man sorry I didnt see your reply. I took a road trip out to Cali for a couple weeks so Ive been away for awhile. the UZ bellhousing will bolt right up to the 340f trans. So to use the 340f trans like I did you'll need the bell housing, oil pump, planetary assembly ( so itll read the sensor that is drilled out and installed) and the 341e valve body. the VB just bolts right up no problems. this way all the wiring is the same and all the shift solenoids are there. I did nothing with the 4 prong rotor. I ran my 21 spline gear case with an inchworm adapter because I needed the right side drop. If you are doing left side drop you could just bolt the Lefty right up to the tail housing. I machined my mechanical T-case speed sensor shaft to fit into the electronic speed sensor and then just installed that into the t-case. All of the shifting works in 4-low and ever other position. hope that helps and sorry for the late reply

Update on the build: Last April I sold the truck for some needed cash at the time. Funny enough I bought it back 1 year later. I'm now completely restoring it at my work. I work in a body shop BTW so its very convenient. The color code is 1H5. Its called Cement and its the new Scion TC color for 2011. Other than that I need to get a new radiator setup with a pusher fan. Pictures are to come!

Thanks!! And Congrats on getting your truck into the Toyota Owners magazine. I picked up that magazine and was like, " hey I know of that guy" That magazine is sitting on my work bench for when I need some inspiration.

Thanks RMA. Its the new Scion TC color called Cement. The color code is 1H5. Of course I had to go with a Toyota color to keep my "All Toyota" Theme going. I am a collision repair tech so everything was done correctly and no corners cut.
