snorkel on a swapped truck? anybody
Hey guys swapped my truck bout a year and a half ago and luv it. 94 pickup w/2000 3.4. Has anybody did a snorkel on their swapped truck yet? If so what did u use and what company made it. Ive been looking at getting one for a tacoma and seeing how it works. I re-used stock airbox so i figured it would attatch like on the tacoma. any input appreciated! thanks ahead of time!

pic didn't work.
I'd pick up one of these for your year, which ever looks like it would match up well with he 3.4L in there and then make the under hood connections work. http://4wheelsupply.com/arb/safari-snorkels-toyota.htm#

I love my swap, I can climb hills in 5th gear, chirp my 33"mud tires in second and still get better Mpg's then my old 3.0 so ya i would do it again in a hart beat.

So I found a deal that I couldnt pass up. I'm getting a rebuilt 3.0 with install for 1395. I decided that it wasn't worth the extra 2 grand to get a used 3.4 so I stayed with the 3.0. Now I wanna get some preformance parts like headers, exhaust, snorkle etc... Any recommended brands? Also I need a new rear window switch... Any dealer alternatives that anyone knows about?

Since you guys are talking about snorkels i was wondering if i could have your input! I want to run a hose from the existing hole in my air box(which is under my air filter so would i need another filter????) and put a whole in my fender then run it up the side of my truck with a hood on the end so water wouldn't go in when it rains and what not. But iv been told that wouldn't work. that i need to connect it directly to my intake.(what about my mass airflow senser? its also my dd so i need to keep mpg therefore jumping the cpu isn't an option for me)
Any ideas?

For anybody making their own, I suggest you take your time and do it right. It is a lot cheaper than buying one, but at the same time I've seen lots of really nice homemade snorkels and I've also seen a lot of really ugly homemade snorkels. Plan it out really well before you start cutting.
