My 2nd 3.4 swap= no start

I had a properly running 3.4 in a 95 toyota pickup. I pulled it out along with the harness and everything that had it running in the pickup and dropped it into a 91 4runner. Went to start it yesterday and it cranks but doesnt start. Was thinking something with the COR, but the thing is I have no fuel OR spark. This setup was running in the pickup, so what could cause these conditions?

Which white-blue wire? What function does it have?

The ignitor was one of my concerns since the engine bay was just painted. I removed it, and ground off the paint where the ignitor sits to make sure it was grounding. Still no spark, or fuel.

I am starting to think that the body harnesses between the two vehicles could be so much different that I may have to re-wire everything again? I just couldnt think of what would cause both no fuel and no spark.

He also started this thread which may provide some backfill https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f160...switch-248964/

You're going to have to get the EWDs for the auto runner and check em. There's no way to know how you have it wired currently. It only take 6 or 7 wires to get the motor running.

Yea, I figured out the p/n switch, everything is done and hooked up, but now it wont start. The body harness would be the only difference between the vehicles though, is there anything even in the body harness that controls fuel or ignition? I thought that was all through the engine harness to the ECU?

I sent you an email, hope it helps clear up what engine functions are in the body harness of your recipient 4runner.

Woohoo, got it figured out and it started right up. Took her out for a drive. Turns out, my wiring was not wrong at all. I got the 4runner with a blown motor so I wasnt aware of any pre-existing conditions. So I checked for power at the ECU, wasnt getting anything on B+. Traced that wire all the way down and guess where it goes....EFI Relay! Put a new one in and she fired up. The relay was still clicking so I didnt think about it. I guess it was clicking but not switching all the way over. Anyways, thanks guys! I like the 4runner better than the pickup!

That's great man! Did you have to splice into the body harness at all for your fuel pump relay or anything or just wire around it?

I did all of the wiring for the COR at the ECU instead of at the relay. Turned out that the wiring for the 95 was exactly the same as the 92, so I got lucky and didnt have to re-wire anything. Just run down the street, 30 dollar relay fixed it up!
