3.4L supercharged
So i have been reading lots about the 3.4L motor swap. in essence the 3.4 supercharged is the same just with a supercharger, is there any issues other than known ones with the 3.4 swap i could run into with the supercharged version? i have the ability to pick up a 3.4 supercharged with complete harness ecu for 850 canadian. Any information would be great. oh by the way it is going into a 93 runner with IFS no SAS for me..... yet

i should also note that the donor motor is out of a 2000 limited edition 5 speed runner. ive done a few motor swaps but nothing toyota they were mazdas took a 2.5L v6 from mx6 put it into a 323. first gear was pointless but thats beside the point.

Well its kind of a big difference. If its a limited, it changes things like the Tcase. If its just a "Highlander" Edition, or a "Sport" edition (with hood scoop style) it would be rather simple.
5speed harness, and Ecu are what you want if you have a 5speed. But there are a LOT of parts you will need for this swap (air box, hoses, evap box, alternator, AC pump, PS pump, etc etc etc) so unless everything is there, be prepared to make several trips to the wrecking yard.
You have a good start though!

ahh the beautiful thing is its in the wreckers which is a 2 minute drive down the road. he said its a 2000 limited edition its black with a hood scoop all leather interior sunroof etc. but i cna get everything i need from it provided it will work just like a normal 3.4L
guess this means i have to run 94 on it tho doesnt it

Its not a limited, its a sport. But he doesn't need to know that
You will need:
Engine
Harness
ECU
PS Pump
Alternator
AC Pump
Evap Box
Aircleaner with hose
Airflow meter
Ignitor
Hoses/vacuum lines
OBDII port (cut from harness under dash)
Im sure I am missing somethings, but those are the major things. Best way is to take everything out as a complete assembly. ANd if you can, MAKE SURE it runs first.
The supercharger is a TRD add-on, so it piggybacks the existing system. It will work just fine. Vital22RE has a supercharger on his 1992 Toyota Xcab.

I just finished mine.
I used a combination of the writeups here. Only thing different is the vacuum hose routing but there is a diagram on here somewhere, if when it comes time and you have not found it I can dig it up and post it.
I say you have a GREAT start! I paid MUCH more than that for mine WITHOUT the S/C.

Purchasing the whole thing will save you a ton of headaches and be a whole lot cheaper! I speak from experience!
Do you know how it was wrecked? front end damage? was it rolled? and if it hasnt already been said... Make sure the thing starts and runs at normal operating temps. No overheating issues or smoking.. etc!
Make note of parts that are damaged or un useable so you can acquire them elsewhere.
As for as the rims I have no idea... Nice rims are cheap! 4wheelparts.com had mine for $50/rim w shipping. cant beat $200 for a brand new set of Mickey Thompsons
