have you tried taking your battery out and putting a different one in? i had a problem like that last summer with my buddy's truck. he pulled up, turned it off, i grabbed the keys and turned it over, and nothing. tried jumping it all night, nothing, not even a click. then a 5 minute drive to walmart, dropped the new battery in, and it fired right up. could be a possibility.

Another possibility is the starter contacts. Try going from ON to START --> ON to START rapidly. If it does start up, visit Roger Brown's site and do some research. He also has your fix if the contacts are the problem. www.4crawler.com

Check the wire to the starter solenoid. If the connector is old and bad they just fall off after a while or get a bad/no contact. If that contact is bad your rig won't do anything when you trick to start it.

this has happened to me on occasion too. i dont know if your runner has an alarm on it but mine has a techtronics alarm system in it with a little cpu chip looking key. i havent thoroughly figured out how it all works completely but i do know it can shut your car down. anyway this happened to me the other day and finally i just unplugged and plugged that key back in and it started right up. i dont know if you have an alarm like that or not but that seemed to be my problem
