Scratched windows...how do i get them out?
My wifes month old Passat got slapped with a big orange tow me sticker and I scratched the window up a bit getting it off. Just a bunch of real light ones. Toothpaste and a toothbrush was one recommendation I dug up onboard. I'll try that first, but are there any other product suggestions? I planned on stopping by autozone and picking whatever glass cleaner said removed scratches...

super fine. "triple zero" or "triple-alt"
000 is the "fineness" designation. it will polish glass. i've used it to remove light scratches and hard water spots on glass before. works great. i used rain-X as the lube, so that way i kill two birds w/ one stone...

Griots Garage has some nice stuff. The polish is probably very similar to the previously mentioned Eastwood goo, but Griot's pushes it mostly as a hand-applied solution.

toothpaste failed...I scratched it up more than I thought. There are a bunch of light swirly scratches in a 9''x6'' area. I think it may need to get resurfaced. Anyone know how much something like that costs?

Best Fix -- I've seen it myself. Go to www.glasweld.com or call 1-800-321-2597 and they can refer you to a tech who does distortion free scratch removal.

My dad ownes a glass shop and i work there myself and i Know that if you can feel the scratch then it is not coming out so your out of luck, if its just scratched a little the some good glass cleaner will work and rub in a circular motion
