TG Front Spring Bushing Options?
Anybody got part numbers for TG leaf spring bushings besides the ones TG sells?
I have their 3" springs (4"SAS Kit) and I was warned the spring bushings would not last. Either did the frame tube bushings but, I found other brand part numbers for those.
I kept my shackle hardware to proper torque and even used the "PROPER" Poly bushing grease. Still ate em up.
The TG bushings are cheap but, I don't want to have to replace them so often.
Anybody switch to bushings with sleeves?

I don't have a new bushing to measure but the old one is about 30mm OD with a hole for an 18mm bolt. About 34mm total length (including flange).
I had an odd ball red colored poly one in one of the springs that held up fine. I don't remember where I got it. I thought it was from Energy Suspension but the part number doesn't come up on their site. Has #60269 on the end of it.

I was hoping someone would give me a great idea to fix this. I may end up going with Davez No Death Wobble Shackles down the road. This is how I'm going to get by for now.
I had no luck finding a substitute bushing for my TG springs. I found enough of the used Energy Suspension ones to stick em in and see how they do.
Here it is along side the TG spring bushing.
I think not having a sleeve and the spacer being smaller than the bushing flange is part of the problem.
You can see how the spacer crushes into the bushing until the flange gets cut off. I bought some hard washers to at least match the diameter of the bushing flange.
Maybe it will help.
I used another 4Crawler idea and welded some 1/2" x 1/2" x 2" key stock along side the shackle bolt to keep it from turning and getting loose.
Once I assemble it I'm going to drill the nut and stick a cotter pin in it to keep it from coming loose. Red Loctite didn't hold it.
I'm hoping that keeping everything from getting loose and the washers protecting the bushing flanges from sheering off will give me more bushing life. We'll see.
I really think sleeved bushings would be the way to go.

Here are some part numbers for the frame tube bushings. I used the Energy Suspension bushings and found the other numbers on a cross reference chart. I have not verified they are the same but, they should be.
I did notice they would work in the TG springs IF you cut them shorter. They are the same size diameter, flange and ID for 18mm bolt. Just longer.
Energy Suspension # 8.2104
Prothane # 18801
Daystar # KT02004BK
